IT SPECIALIST (SYSANAL/SYSADMIN)

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzing and resolving a variety of complex, often unprecedented, technical, administrative, and cybersecurity issues related to the full lifecycle of IT services and assets. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Liaise effectively with site IT representatives, third-party vendors, and IT support teams to ensure seamless service delivery and provide mentorship. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Articulate service needs, providing mentorship and authoritative guidance to IT representatives. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing expert-level guidance for the most complex technical problems related to hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of NMCI Customer Technical Representative (CTR) tasks or another large-scale IT contract. Experience applying knowledge of system administration procedures for Microsoft Windows workstations and ability to provide tier one support for IT equipment issues related to hardware, software, and peripherals. Experience managing the full lifecycle of IT service management under a large-scale contract like the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). Experience applying knowledge of federal IT procurement processes, asset lifecycle management, and financial stewardship to validate requirements and ensure the accuracy and cost efficiency. You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSANAL/SYSADMIN) in the CYBER/ISSM (N61) of COMNAVMETOCCOM.

You will provide maintenance, administration, inventory management and cybersecurity compliance for operational systems and applications.

You will provide strategic direction and oversight for the ordering and management of all IT services and infrastructure.

You will be accountable for the financial stewardship and integrity of the command's IT portfolio.

You will lead the monitoring and reporting functions for network outages and significant technical issues, briefing leadership on operational impacts and resolution status.

You will direct the command's IT asset management strategy, overseeing the utilization of the NMCI Enterprise Tool (NET) tool to conduct in-depth analysis of asset data and ensure the highest levels of accuracy for all tracked equipment.

You will establish the framework for user engagement, providing expert-level guidance for the most complex technical problems related to hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications.

You will lead the diagnostic process for critical issues, leveraging advanced problem-solving skills and historical data analysis to ensure rapid and effective resolution, while mentoring other technical staff.

You will orchestrate the resolution of major issues by directing engagement with IT service desks, field services, and vendors.

You will serve as the Project Manager for the command's IT initiatives, including process improvements and technology modernization efforts.
