About the Company
Valerie Health is the AI front office for independent provider groups. We are reimagining how independent practices operate by using AI to modernize patient/provider communication, enhance care, and drive industry-changing operational efficiencies.
Team: We are led by Pete Shalek (2x health tech exits, including a $600M acquisition by Optum) and Nitin Joshi (scaled Uber Eats + Health, Stripe Connect, and Bridge, acquired by Stripe for $1.1B). Beyond our founders, our team brings DNA from category leaders (Uber, Stripe, Meta), high-growth unicorns, and top consulting firms.
Trajectory: We partner with leading independent provider groups across the U.S., automating hundreds of thousands of tasks each month. Revenue is on track for 7x growth this year, alongside 300% net revenue retention.
Funding: We have raised $39M (Series A) from world-class investors including Redpoint Ventures, General Catalyst, Primary Ventures, and BoxGroup.
About the Role
You will be the first hire into the Marketing team. Valerie is in a hypergrowth phase, and marketing's job is to accelerate it: driving lead generation now and building a competitively differentiated brand over time. There is a lot to build, and we need smart, energetic, hands-on people to do it.
Your first priority is owning our conference and events program end-to-end: research, outreach, logistics, collateral, and on-the-ground presence across multiple events in parallel. As you get events humming, you'll expand across the full marketing function and help build the GTM systems and AI-powered automations that let a small team punch above its weight.
This is a role for someone who wants to learn the breadth of marketing hands-on, and have real ownership over the work.
What You'll Do
Events & Field Marketing (where you start)
Own end-to-end conference execution: coordinating with organizers, booking booths, shipping materials, handling registrations, and keeping parallel workstreams from falling through the cracks.
Design and run pre-event outreach campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and creative channels to book meetings and build awareness before we arrive.
Represent Valerie on the floor. Engage directly with CEOs, practice administrators, and healthcare executives to qualify leads and advance deals.
Drive the conference strategy: pull attendee lists, assess ICP presence, and make data-driven recommendations on where to invest.
Broader Marketing (where you grow)
Take on increasing responsibility across lead generation channels (webinars, advertising, LinkedIn campaigns, SEO/AEO, email sequences) as the function grows.
Coordinate with external agencies on SEO/AEO and collateral production, ensuring quality and alignment with our messaging.
Help build the GTM systems, workflows, and AI-powered automations that let a small team punch above its weight.
Develop deep product fluency: understand our AI platform, customer outcomes, and competitive positioning well enough to speak credibly about Valerie in any room.
Contribute to messaging development and, over time, brand strategy as we build a competitive moat around Valerie.
About You
You might be a Chief of Staff at a startup who is ready to go deep in a defined function. You might be a marketer who's been running outbound, demand gen, or field marketing and wants to build a strategic skillset. You might be a sharp recent grad from a top program who learns fast and isn't afraid to figure things out.
You are the kind of person who throws dinner parties. People enjoy being around you. You are warm, perceptive, and genuinely interested in the people you meet. At Valerie, you will be in rooms with senior healthcare executives, and your ability to build trust and rapport is a key part of the job.
What we're looking for
2–5+ years of experience in a fast-paced B2B environment. Marketing, Sales, Operations, Chief of Staff, or a generalist role at an early-stage company.
High interpersonal warmth and confidence. You are someone people want to talk to, and you are equally comfortable engaging a CEO at a conference as you are cold-emailing a prospect.
Exceptional organizational skills. You can manage multiple workstreams, across multiple events, without dropping anything.
Strong written communication. You write clean, direct copy.
Intellectual curiosity about AI and technology. You don't need to be technical, but you should be excited about learning how our platform works and talking about it fluently.
Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% during peak event seasons.
You are execution-oriented, resourceful, analytical, and motivated by building something.
Bonus if you have events or field marketing experience, healthcare or enterprise software context, or know your way around HubSpot and LinkedIn. But what matters most is that you are sharp, organized, high-energy, and the kind of person who makes a room better by being in it.
Compensation & Benefits
$110,000–$150,000 base salary plus meaningful equity in an AI-native, high-growth startup.
Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.
Work directly with senior leadership and some of the most innovative healthcare groups in the country.
