Moon Active is one of the world's fastest-growing mobile game companies, providing entertainment to millions of active users across the universe. The company is headquartered in the heart of Tel Aviv.

We're looking for a Backend Developer to join our awesome Core Platform team. The team is responsible for building complex, high-scale, real-time services and infrastructure which is used by all company’s studios to support their business.

We are looking for an engineer who views AI not just as a tool, but as a fundamental shift in how we build software. You will be responsible for designing high-performance, distributed systems while leaning heavily into an AI-First engineering culture.

We are looking for strong software engineers with practical experience, the drive, and enthusiasm to succeed in a demanding and professional team environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • You will design, architect, test and implement core services and features in MoonActive's platform services and data pipeline infrastructure.

  • You will be responsible for scalable, high-traffic production infrastructure across all MoonActive studios.

  • You will build valuable tools to support the development and business processes across the company

  • You will integrate AI agents and LLMs (Cursor, Claude Code) into your daily flow to maximize velocity and code quality.

  • You will deliver high quality and well-structured code

  • You will own the deliverables end-to-end, from inception, through design and development and production implementation.

 

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend development experience

  • BSc in computer science or equivalent

  • Experience with distributed systems and micro services architecture

  • Experience in high scale, multi threaded systems

  • Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude code) into your workflow.

  • Proactive, self-driven, and highly adaptable. Demonstrates the ability to thrive and excel in an environment where the status quo is constantly challenged.

  • Self-learner, strong can-do attitude, and great interpersonal skills

 

Advantages

  • High proficiency in Golang

  • Production experience with multiple databases - MySQL/Postgresql/Redis and others

  • Familiarity with AWS /GCP cloud services /infrastructure

  • Experience with general aspects of SWE including but not limited to dev-ops, automation and front-end development.
